ATLANTA, GEORGIA \/ SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA:<\/strong> AMI\u00ae, a global leader in the Dynamic Firmware market for worldwide computing, announces today its commitment to deliver enhanced firmware capabilities to Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. as part of a new development agreement for Aptio\u00ae V UEFI Firmware for current and future Arm\u00ae based devices powered by Snapdragon\u00ae compute platforms.<\/p>\n

System firmware attacks continue in their prevalence and sophistication, driving manufacturers to ensure that their platforms are protected from boot up and beyond. As a market leader in UEFI firmware development and firmware security, AMI\u2019s Aptio UEFI Firmware<\/a> includes the security features that OEMs and ODMs require to protect end-users and their systems from the moment they press the power button.<\/p>\n

Under this UEFI development collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, AMI will extend firmware security and UEFI Firmware development support, beginning with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3<\/a> Compute Platform. This agreement will extend to future Snapdragon compute platforms providing AMI UEFI source code designed with security in mind and the testing and support infrastructure needed to help maintain the security of Snapdragon compute platforms, including protection at the firmware level.<\/p>\n
