This solution was recently validated in an external beta test with a leading global AI and digital infrastructure company to high praise.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>AI Demand for DRAM Pushing RAS Boundaries<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>DRAM failures are one of the most common causes of server downtime, notorious for severely impacting system reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS). While the AI era continues to significantly accelerate the demand for DRAM, the increased capacity, speed and density required makes DRAM even more vulnerable.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>The Solution: Vendor-Specific DRAM RAS Services for BMCs<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Since the introduction of DDR5, several new technologies have been introduced to improve the resilience of DRAM modules. To synergize all these innovative technologies and maximize their benefits to data centers, Vendor-Specific DRAM RAS Service for BMCs can connect the dots \u2013 from error data collection to RAS actions, on-die ECC on DRAM modules to system platform RAS features \u2013 and fully leverage their individual contributions.<\/p>\n<p>DDR5 modules are well-trained and optimized for modern server platforms, but a generic OS designed for multiple architectures, platforms and vendors has a limited ability to capture all the details about the DRAM modules installed in a server. In contrast, DRAM RAS services on the BMC are designed specifically for the platform and can intelligently adapt to the optimized configuration of both the DRAM and server platform.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>A Powerful, Turn-key Solution for End Users<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>In this way, these new Vendor-Specific DRAM RAS Services \u2013 also known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ami.com\/data-center-uptime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Memory Resilience Technology<\/a> (MRT) \u2013 for BMCs provide a turn-key solution for end users, significantly shortening deployment time.
